Join our experienced Band Skills teacher Vic and his team on The Music Works' Band Skills Summer Workshop 2022, this August 22nd-24th! Spaces are limited to 5 students per instrument, so make sure to book early to claim your space!

During the workshop students will learn a variety of great songs and valuable skills of how to work effectively in a modern band setting. This is a fantastic way to learn something new, gain confidence in your instrument and socialise with like-minded individuals in a group setting. The three-day workshop will end with a performance for parents, showing off what everyone has learned. Don't worry if you can't make it to the performance though, we will make sure to film it so you can watch it back anytime!

Want to improve your vocal ability this summer? Join the fantastic Penny at The Music Works for the Summer Singing Workshop! If you can hold a tune then Penny has an amazing workshop designed to get the best out of your voice over 3 days.

During the week you will develop the fundamentals of singing, including vocal technique, breathing, harmony and performing! Each student will have the opportunity to sing solo and as part of a group, developing their confidence and social skills in the process. At the end of the final day students will be able to perform using all the skills they have learned during the workshop!

Summer Workshops 2022 Terms & Conditions


Our standard T&Cs still apply, but we have tried to make the most important parts easier to read below:

1. Payment

For current students - Payment is to be made via each customers My Music Staff account, in the same way that payment for weekly music lessons is collected. Written consent to add £135 to your account is needed by either filling in the online form, or by email. Once confirmed we will create an invoice on your account and collect payment.


For new customers – We will get in touch to collect some further information from you, that will help create your online account on our scheduling software ‘My Music Staff’. Once set up this online portal allows us to communicate with you and collect payment for the workshop.



2. Cancellations

The cancellation period is within 14 days of payment collection, which will result in a full refund. Spaces for workshops are limited and once payment is collected, your space is reserved.



3. Health & Safety

In order to maintain appropriate standards of health and safety, parents must inform us of all allergy or relevant medical conditions.



4. Child Protection

We have a duty to respond if we suspect a child in our care may be suffering from abuse, or if a child makes a disclosure about abuse. In this event staff will contact the Safeguarding Officer and act on their advice.



5. Liability

The Music Works does not accept liability for personal injury or the death of any person unless directly caused by the proven negligence of the company or its employees.



6. Personal Property

We will not take responsibility for the loss or damage of any items of personal property brought to The Music Works. All students are welcome to use our equipment at the centre if this is of concern.



7. Exclusions

The Music Works reserves the right to exclude any child for any reasonable reason. No refund will be made for days missed for any reason.



8. Programme & Activities

From day to day we may need to change our activities due to circumstance out of our control i.e. numbers of children attending.
